Put-away moves received stock into its intended storage location and records where it went.
What to review
- Confirm the received product and quantity
- Choose the correct storage location
- Record the bin movement
- Check that the item can be found again
A simple example
Ten units arrive at receiving. Move them into the agreed bin and verify the recorded balance there. Goods left physically on a staging shelf should not be recorded in a distant rack.
