Cross-docking
Cross-docking routes incoming goods towards an outbound shipment with little or no time in normal storage.
What to review
- Match inbound and outbound requirements
- Check quantities and identity
- Coordinate dispatch timing
- Define a fallback when plans change
A simple example
A confirmed inbound delivery is assigned to an outbound order for the same day. If the truck arrives short, the team needs an agreed shortage and staging process.
In your warehouse
This is an operational concept, not a promise of a dedicated VasKem cross-docking module. Discuss reservation, scanning, staging and exception handling as explicit acceptance requirements.
